It’s fall! We’re happy, so we’re celebrating with a whole lot of alliteration… Are you ready for it? Fab Fall Floral Friday! Yeah! We’re gonna show you how we took 2 Trader Joe’s bouquets that retail for $3.99 each and made 2 cute, little bouquets that look almost florist perfect! These would be great as a centerpiece or just a nice autumn touch around the house.
1| As mentioned we took, 2 TJ’s floral bunches to create a one of a kind look. First off, you want to choose some fall colors in your bouquet and opt for 2 very different types of flowers. Our marigolds are sturdy and round while the other is more long and wispy, giving two distinct vibes for a floral arrangement with interest.
2| Start with the larger sturdier flower first to create a base bouquet. For us, that meant the marigolds! We cut the stems down, so they sit just above the vase opening. We are constantly picking up vintage vases while thrifting. These are amazing for cute arrangements and darling, little hostess gifts — for a couple bucks a pop, you can’t beat some aged personality.
3| After you’ve created a full arrangement of your base flower, begin weaving your taller bouquet in. You can play with heights, and there is definitely no right or wrong here. Just have fun and move it around to your liking!
4| Keep playing! As you add more, it really does start to come alive. Don’t judge yourself in the process, keep going. You can always cut your stems down a bit more and adjust to create the perfect height, texture combination.
Aren’t they cute!??
