I LOVE the look of all white walls. I know for some it can seem cold or bare, but given enough personal touches — photographs, heirlooms or anything with a bit heritage lends warmth to this bright look. It just feels open and modern. I’m a big fan.
I love, love, love this look! The black sets off this traditional look with a bit of edge. I also adore the chinoiserie (lifetime devotee) detail on the entry table and umbrella stand. The simple light fixture and casual, textural woven bag and architectural piece make this room special. Did I mention I love this entry?
This look also combines the juxtaposition of white and black. The black anchors the white walls and sofa. This layered, undone vibe is perfectly set off with an antique fireplace and antlers above beckoning your eye to the tall ceilings.
Wow! I had a subliminal theme with all of these that I had not realize until now… It’s all about the black! Here we’ve got a noir hue on our table to polish off the lovely white walls and accentuate the pretty, French cane chairs. The wonderful layered details make this breakfast nook sweet and cozy.
Again, this look is made home-y with dark details, texture, and layers! The shelf is a brilliant idea for small spaces. And the mirrors not only reflect light and add space, but they won’t be damaged with splashed oil while cooking.
This one is from this month’s issue of Lonny mag. I fell in LOVE with the bright white, bright light, anchored with the lovely Roman shade and black detailing. I was also intrigued with the brilliance of using a console table as a desk in a narrow space! The lucite continues the feeling of space — open and airy — and the antique chair adds a bit of history.
