I’m staying with my dear, dear friend this weekend in her little mountain hideaway. Her home was built in the 1940′s by the Mayor of Munchkinland from The Wizard of Oz (by FAR my favorite movie – check out About Us for proof :). It’s a magical, little place, and my friend does MUCH to keep it that way. Everywhere you look, there is something to draw your eye in. And everything, because of it’s eclectic heart, feels sacred and perfect.
This is probably picture overload, but if you only saw what I haven’t snapped in the this multi-level, darling, little retreat you’d understand. This is only the tip of the ice burg:
Let’s start here. Meet Brando. I want to take him home with me like bad! Hims got one eye, and he’s just the sweetest, little guy I’ve ever met.
Oh, and one more because I can’t help myself.
This Buddha is in her studio.
Vintage fabrics also in the studio.
Her work station… Definitely my kind of vibe.
A dining room alter.
Vintage Japanese needlepoint just leaning against the bookshelf.
I’m just in love with this Moroccan lamp in the kitchen. Sooo cute!
Sacred spot in the cabinet.
Oh, and did I mention she has FOUR closets full of Fabulous vintage dresses, purses, hats, kimonos, jewelry…. Can’t cope.
I’m sooo inspired by her little outdoor patio. Water features and greenery overload — So lush and cozy!
A sweet, little spot in the garden.
Surrounding mountain views with a bit of morning haze.
I am having such a blessed, mini get-a-way, renewed with inspiration and love to carry into next week. Tell me her house isn’t AMAZING!? I don’t know if my photographs even do this sanctuary justice. The Selby should COME here and photograph her in the space. Definitely eclectic. Pretty much to die for.
Are ya’ll into it?
